As Canadians, we bring so much of ourselves to our celebration of Christmas: our ancestral culture, our language, our recent family history. Each year we carry forward new memories, adding new textures to our individual experience of “Christmas”. With this recording I hope to offer a sound for Christmas that is uniquely Canadian. Here I blend traditional carols arranged by Canadians with newer compositions – each a reflection of the composers’ personal interpretations of this wintry season. My Christmas wish for you is that this music enriches your celebration and underscores new memories – and that it might help you rediscover the baby in the manger. Have a wonderful holiday.

Notre façon de célébrer Noël est le reflet de notre héritage culturel, linguistique et familial. Chaque année passante enrichit, par de nouveaux souvenirs, notre expérience individuelle de Noël. Avec cet enregistrement, je vous offre un son nouveau et unique provenant de compositeurs canadiens. Que ce soit par des arrangements d'airs traditionnels ou par des compositions plus récentes, ces musiciens vous suggèrent leur interprétation personnelle de la saison des fêtes.
